Project Overview
This project at Damen Residence, Subang Jaya, showcases EverKitchen’s expertise in customised kitchen cabinets and modern home renovation. Featuring matte black cabinetry, warm wood-grain finishes, a spacious kitchen island, and illuminated display shelving, the design creates a sophisticated interior that combines bold aesthetics with everyday functionality.
Homeowner Habits & Needs
A functional kitchen should support everyday cooking, food preparation, and social gatherings. For homeowners who enjoy entertaining, a spacious island can provide additional preparation space while creating a comfortable area for casual dining and conversations. Practical storage for cookware, appliances, and dining essentials also helps keep the kitchen organised and ready for everyday use.
Design Challenges & Pain Points
Combining a striking design with practical storage can be challenging, particularly when the kitchen needs to accommodate multiple appliances, cooking essentials, and dining space. Dark cabinetry can also make a space feel visually heavy if not balanced with appropriate lighting and contrasting finishes. The key is to create a functional layout that feels cohesive without compromising the overall design.
Customised Kitchen Cabinets
The kitchen features sleek matte black upper and lower cabinets paired with light countertops and a spacious island. The contrasting surfaces create visual balance, while integrated appliances maintain a streamlined appearance. The island provides additional workspace and doubles as a casual dining area, making it suitable for both daily routines and entertaining guests.
Display Shelving & Integrated Storage
Illuminated display shelving adds character to the kitchen while providing space for glassware, bottles, and decorative accessories. Warm wood-grain panels soften the darker cabinetry, creating a balanced combination of textures. Integrated storage helps keep everyday essentials organised while maintaining a clean, contemporary look.
Customised Dressing Area
The dressing area continues the home’s warm wood aesthetic with a built-in vanity, round mirror, and coordinated cabinetry. The dedicated space provides a practical area for daily grooming while complementing the overall interior design.

At EverKitchen, we believe great design should balance functionality, aesthetics, and lifestyle. By combining bold cabinetry, contrasting materials, integrated lighting, and thoughtful space planning, we create customised interiors that are visually distinctive and practical for everyday living.
