Project Overview
This project at Kinrara Residence, Puchong, demonstrates EverKitchen’s approach to whole-home cabinetry, from a fully fitted kitchen to a built-in bar cabinet, TV feature wall, and bedroom dressing areas. Featuring rich dark walnut-finish cabinetry, warm LED strip lighting, and light grey accents throughout, the design creates a warm, layered interior that feels both stylish and thoroughly practical for family living.
Homeowner Habits & Needs
The homeowners needed a home that could handle everyday cooking and entertaining while keeping living spaces organised and visually cohesive. The kitchen required ample storage and worktop space for regular meal preparation, while the living and dining areas needed built-in solutions that reduced visual clutter. Dedicated dressing areas in the bedrooms were also a priority, providing personal grooming space without occupying floor area with freestanding furniture.
Design Challenges & Pain Points
Achieving a consistent design language across multiple rooms, kitchen, living room, bar area, and two bedrooms, required careful coordination of finishes, tones, and lighting. The kitchen layout needed to accommodate an L-shaped configuration with an island while keeping circulation comfortable. Integrating open display shelving, concealed storage, and appliance spaces throughout the home without compromising the clean aesthetic was a central design consideration.
Customised Kitchen Cabinets
The kitchen features floor-to-ceiling dark walnut-finish cabinetry paired with grey stone-effect countertops and a matching backsplash. The L-shaped layout maximises worktop space along two walls, with integrated appliance niches keeping the cooking zone uncluttered. Under-cabinet lighting runs along the upper cabinets, illuminating the countertop and adding warmth to the dark cabinetry. A full-height larder tower anchors the layout and provides deep pantry storage.
Kitchen Island & Dining Area
A customised kitchen island with a walnut-finish base and stone countertop provides additional prep space and doubles as a casual dining surface. Its proportions are well-suited to the open-plan layout, allowing the kitchen and dining area to flow naturally without visual separation. The island’s clean lines carry the same dark timber finish as the surrounding cabinetry, maintaining a unified look throughout the space.
Built-In Bar & Display Cabinet
A custom bar cabinet with open glass shelving, warm internal LED strip lighting, and a marble-effect countertop creates a dedicated entertaining corner in the living area. The walnut-finish casing frames the display shelves neatly, with enough depth to house bottles, glassware, and a water dispenser. The combination of illuminated open shelving and concealed lower storage makes this unit both functional for daily use and visually striking.
TV Feature Wall & Living Area
The living room TV feature wall uses a two-tone treatment: a light grey panel backdrop paired with a long walnut-finish media console with flush-front doors. The console provides generous concealed storage while keeping the living space free of visible clutter. Warm recessed downlighting and natural light from full-height windows complete the relaxed, contemporary atmosphere.
Bedroom Dressing Areas
Both bedrooms feature built-in dressing tables integrated flush into floor-to-ceiling wardrobe runs. Each dressing station includes a lit vanity mirror set into a warm-lit alcove, a dedicated worktop, and surrounding wardrobe storage that keeps the room tidy. The light grey wardrobe finish keeps the bedrooms feeling airy, while the warm internal lighting adds a comfortable, private quality to each dressing area.
